April 28 - May 1, 2010

Cabaret Performance - A Wonderful World The centerpiece of Manhattan at the Bay is the award-winning student Cabaret performance. In it's 28th year, this performance is a showcase for young, local talented girls and boys. The music, singing, dancing and costumes are second to none.

The cabaret performance got its start in the spring of 1983 when the school’s new music and theatre teacher, Christine D. Kavanagh, was asked to put together a ‘small’ show. Kavanagh assembled a production team consisting of Musical Director Diane Gualtieri, Choreographer Cindy LoSasso and Percussionist Karen Mellor. Then, Kavanagh recruited a cast of 30 student performers and staged a cabaret in the school’s gymnasium. The shows were sold out and a tradition was born.

"We had heard about it for years and final made the trip. Curt and I were very impressed, it was hard to believe these were high school students.. one of the best shows I have seen." -- Susan Krushinsky, Milford CT.
